Summer Festival Performances

Every summer, Jumping Camel has the absolute pleasure being part of many of Calgary's summer events and festivals. Some of these events include the Inglewood Sunfest, Afro-Caribbean fest, and the Marda Loop Marda Gras. In past years, members of the Caravan would take part in performing, but this year is a little different. If you are a current Camel, have taken at least a level 1 and/ or 2, and have a bit of a performance bug, this may be for you!

A bit more info...

Summer performances usually include a short stage performance, and some time walking around the festival area with music, dancing in the street, and interacting with the general public. In order to prepare for these events, dancers meet up every week for 2 hours (2026 dates TBD) and practice technique and choreography, along with blocking and general performance tech. Practice commitments are non-negotiable and must be attended in order to perform.
