Thursday 7:30pm- Melaya Leff Choreography with Sai'da
Our Thursday class welcomes back Sai'da - our guest instructor of the 2026 winter session. Learn about Melaya Leff, a playful style full of sass, fun, and character. Sai'da will take students through the technique and emotion behind this staged dance and put it to practice in a fun choreography. A Melaya veil will be provided in class.
Students registered in the Winter Session will have the opportunity to perform their class choreography in our annual student recital 'Shimmy Showcase' on Saturday, March 14th 2026. Performing is optional and never mandatory.

    Students will be learning about Melaya Leff and related choreography, with an opportunity to perform at our annual student show case.

    In this class, topics that will be covered include: 

    • dance posture 

    • foundational movements 

    • basic traveling steps 

    • beginner combinations

    • Introduction to FInger Cymbals 

    • introduction to dance theory
